Cal. 40-70 WCF. S#. 103162. Replacement Bbl. 22" carbine style. Brass replacement pinned blade front with carbine leaf rear sight. Full length mag. Blue & case colored finish. Left side of action has a saddle ring. Replacement walnut forend & straight grip stock with steel carbine buttplate. Mfg. 1895. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: Cody firearms record check stating the following: Type: Carbine / Caliber 40/70 / Received in warehouse on July 01, 1895 / Shipped from warehouse on July 01, 1895, order number 14636. CONDITION: metal finish has largely faded to gray showing considerable corrosion and light pitting. Sanded & refinished wood has remaining handling marks. The stock has a dark appearance with a poor fit around the action. Sound mechanics. The bore is generally bright with sound rifling. (01-26790/DS). ANTIQUE. $1,500-2,500.
